Belly Dancing- Music, Movement and Community

Welcome to the enchanting world of belly dancing!

In this course, we leave the drills and mirrors behind and travel back to a time when dance was about music, movement, and community.

Each class begins and ends in a circle, creating a sense of connection and shared experience. Rather than focusing on choreography or perfecting steps or how we look, we listen to the music and allow our bodies to respond naturally.

The instructor will introduce a few simple steps and movements, then encourage students to experiment with them and incorporate them into their own dance. There is no single “right” way to move.

Our goal is simple: to help people feel beautiful, comfortable, and free in the bodies they have. Move what you can. Move how you can. Sit, sway, step, wiggle, or dance across the room. If it feels like dancing to you, it’s dancing. And hopefully meet a few people, laugh and have FUN!

No previous dance experience is needed.  All ages, shapes, and experience levels are welcome!

Wear comfortable clothing and footwear, and bring water.
