Working from a photo of your own pet, you’ll explore bold brushwork, expressive color, and layered acrylic painting techniques to capture your pet’s personality without getting caught up in creating a perfectly realistic portrait. Your instructor will guide you through the process, from transferring and scaling your pet’s image to building up layers of paint and bringing your portrait to life. Before class, students will submit a photo of their pet so the instructor can prepare and print a properly scaled reference image.
